What is Mumu Mandarin?

The moment you step onto the red carpet at a wedding, all eyes on you. The feeling of truly owning the moment, your beauty and confidence radiating off you as the cameras flash. The knowledge that you never have to wear the same outfit to another party occasion because you have the wealth of infinite options without the price tag. Mumu Mandarin allows clients in the USA to rent Pakistani designer dresses with the utmost convenience where we take care of the details like dry cleaning and shipping for you. Try styles you’ve never experimented with before.


How does it work?

Select your event date and enter your details in the virtual fitting room. Browse the available options based on your size and availability. Select the dress and your event date on the virtual calendar. Your dress will arrive a few days before your event date. Enjoy your dress and return it in the same box we send you with the prepaid label enclosed. Drop the package off at UPS before noon on the ship back date.


How long is the rental period?

The rental period is 4 days. In booking your dress, always select the event date on the calendar. Your dress will arrive at least a minimum of two days before your event date. We usually try to ship the dress early enough to make sure it fits. Your ship back date will always be the day after your event date. The Dress I like is not allowing me to select the event date on the calendar.

That means your dress is booked and you should look for an alternative - or your event date is less than 8 days away in which case you should email support@mumumandarin.com


How long in advance can I order?

We recommend you place your order as soon as you know your event date. This way you don’t have to worry about it getting reserved by someone else, as we do not carry multiples of each dress. If you’re waiting to see when new options will list, we are always happy to accommodate a switch. You can even place your order a few months in advance. However, please don’t wait till the last minute to book. Our shipping logistics require you to book a dress at least eight days in advance. If you need a dress urgently, we recommend you contact support@mumumandarin.com to determine if your dress option is available for last minute shipping.


Can I cancel my order?

Yes you may cancel your order. Please note that any cancellation made after 72 hours of the booking will result in store credit instead of refund to the card on file.


How do I modify my order?

How do I find my size?

Please use the virtual fitting room once you identify a dress you like to see if it will fit. The virtual fitting room uses factors such as age, height and weight to generate body-metric data for clients who don’t know their measurements. This is an estimate. If you do know your measurements, we recommend you select “Edit Measures” after entering your details in the sizing tool to adjust your bust, waist, and hip details to optimize your fit recommendation. If the virtual fitting room does not recommend the dress then we do not have it in your size and you should look for an alternative dress.


Where are the size charts for each dress?

The measurement charts on the website are based on body measurements and are not size charts of the dresses. Please enter your details in the virtual fitting room and only book dresses that the virtual fitting room recommends.


What if the dress doesn't fit or look the way I thought it would

If the dress does not fit or meet your expectations, email customer service. We will either issue you store credit or send you an alternative dress. We do not issue refunds due to the nature of the business.


What happens if I return a dress damaged?

Minor stain or a few beads falling out is not a problem. However, if a dress is damaged beyond repair where it cannot be reused, you will be charged 100% of the full retail value, plus a 20% restocking fee.


What happens if I stain my dress?

Please do not attempt to remove any stains with any solvents. We will take care of it.


How are the dresses cleaned?

Dresses are professionally cleaned with environmentally friendly green cleaners.


What if I return a dress late?

Dresses returned late will be subject to a daily late charge of $25 until the dress is returned. If a dress is not returned within 14 days of the ship back date, and we do not hear from you, we will consider it a non-return where you will be responsible for the full retail value plus a 20% restocking fee along with the additional late penalties. If the delay in returning a dress impacts another order, the client will be subject to an additional $100 surcharge. Please notify support@mumumandarin.com if you are unable to return a dress on time.


What if I lose the packaging?

Clients will be required to return the package at their own cost if packaging is lost. We also require that clients return the dress with the respective hanger and garment bag.


Do you ship outside the USA?

Shipping is free within the continental USA. At this time, we do not ship outside the USA. For orders to Canada, please email support@mumumandarin.com with your post-code and dress selection to determine additional cost of shipping to Canada.


Do you have a studio location where I can view the collection?

We have a studio location in the Houston area by appointment only. Please contact support@mumumandarin.com for details if you are interested in scheduling an appointment.


Are any of your dresses available for purchase?

The only dresses available for purchase are under “For Sale.” Otherwise all our dresses are only available for rent. Some dresses may become available for purchase at a later stage. You can click on the “ Interested in buying” link to be notified when a dress becomes available for purchase.


Are all the dresses on the site?

Yes, all our dresses are listed on the site. We also have an exclusive collection that is not viewable to the public and can only be seen by our members.


What is the difference between members and non-members?

Members pay a monthly fee of $30 that is applied toward their dress rentals. They receive 20% of ALL dress rentals and access to additional dress options unavailable for view by the public. New listings also become available to members first. If you are worried that you may not use all your credits, you can gift unused credits to non members.


How long are my credits good for?

If you signed up for membership before October 2024, your credits will not expire. Moving forward all new membership credits are valid for 2 years.


How do I cancel my membership?

Membership requires a three months commitment after which a “DEACTIVATE” button will appear under “My Subscription” in “My Account” allowing you to cancel your membership.


How do I update my payment details?

Please click on “Subscription” followed by “Edit billing info.”


Will you buy my dresses?

Please email support@mumumandarin.com with picture of the dresses you are interested in selling and the retail value.
